Below please find a partial list (as this list constantly changes) of various crystal skulls that have been considered to be ancient or old skulls, based on parapsychological research that has been conducted in the past. There is no known process that can date a crystal skull. Carbon 14 dating works only on organic substances of which quartz crystal is not. Therefore, so far, one of the main ways to identify the older crystal skulls is to work with trained sensitives as well as observe people's experiences in the presence of a crystal skull. Alternatively, another method is look closely at the surface of the quartz for tool marks (using a high powered microscope) which is found in all the modern skulls that are carved today. If a large majority of the sensitives working with a particular crystal skull feels to be very old (could be a thousand or more years old), then we generally believe that this could be an ancient crystal skull. Also we consider the legends around the skulls as well or how powerfully they energetically affect people who touch them. Another good source in determing the age is to work with indigenous elders if they are open to do so and share their information. We are hoping in the future to come up with a better system to be able to classify and rate each new crystal skull that appears as well as develop more precise ways of testing.

A human size and shaped, clear quartz skull, 11.7 lbs, two pieces with a separate jaw, discovered in Belize in 1924 in the ruins of a Mayan City by F. A. Mitchell-Hedges. This skull is currently near Toronto, Canada with Anna Mitchell-Hedges, his adopted daughter. The skull is an almost absolute copy of our own human skull except it is circular in the temples and has a handle like form in the cheekbones. When the skull is not activated, it is clear as glass. One piece, single clear quartz, 18 lbs, held by the Parks of Houston, Texas, who received the skull from a Tibetan trained healer when he died in 1980. The healer received the skull as a gift from the local people in Guatemala. In the past few years, "MAX" has been touring the United States and has participated in a number of Native American ceremonies. ANCIENT
| Asingle piece clear quartz skull, held in the British Museum of Man, in London, England since 1898, purportedly found or bought by a soldier of fortune in Mexico in the late 1890's. This skull is more cloudy than the Mitchell-Hedges and has an elongated back of the head. The quartz comprising this skull is very clear and there is a tool mark found on this skull. OLD |  |
A single piece of clear quartz, held in the Trocadero Museum in Paris, France, also purported obtained by a soldier of Fortune in Mexico in the late 1890's. It has a hole cut from top to bottom, purported to hold a Christian Cross and has the most primitive of facial features and design within this list. OLD

A single piece of amethyst crystal discovered in a Mayan cache of artifacts in Mexico by a Mayan Brotherhood in the early 1900's. This crystal skull is in California and is for sale. The distinctive features are the circular indentations in the temple and a white squiggly line that goes the circumference of the skull ( Editor's Note: This was the first ancient crystal skull that I experienced in person.... ). Recently received a 31 lb. clear quartz crystal skull purported from an anonymous source. The size of this skull is very large and it is hollow on the inside, it could fit over a person's head. (This skull is not believed to be ancient but seems to be another one that is quite interesting) UNKNOWN?

A single piece of clear quartz crystal purportedly carved by a blind craftsman in the deep Amazon (according to various sensitives who have worked with this skull) in the 1700's. Floyd Petri, the current caretaker had an unending compulsion to visit a crystal store in Austin, Texas to find this skull, which he did. The skull is human size and furthermore, the sensitives stated that an energy being (known as Windsong) from another planet is linked to the quartz the skull is made from. OLD |
A Peruvian Crystal Skull has been reported in the central part of this country -- clear quartz with blue in the eyes and blue seen from on top of the head .... currently held by a primitive tribe in this region of Peru. UNKNOWN?
